Krabi airport is about half an hour away. Railay is a boat, not a drive.
Arrival
Airport, beach road, and the longtail
Fly into Krabi (KBV). The airport is about 30 minutes by car from Ao Nang. Phuket airport is the other common option, then a road transfer of roughly two hours.
In town, songthaews run the beach road toward Nopparat Thara and Krabi town. Taxis cover the evening. Railay has no road access: take a longtail from Ao Nang beach or the Nopparat pier, and expect the boat to pause when the sea is rough.
Check-in for the two direct-booking homes is in the afternoon. The beachfront suite is confirmed on Airbnb, not on this site.
